The A800RR builds on the success of the A800R platform and focuses on refining the revolution brought by the A800R.
Retaining the key features of the A800R - shortened chassis plate for minimal overhang and chassis rub and improved damping characteristics over the MMX platform - the A800RR incorporates several key quality-of-life upgrades. These include the newly designed D4 dampers, which allow for seamless external switching between linear, semi-progressive and progressive damping modes without requiring a full damper rebuild.
Additionally, a new spool assembly reduces rotating mass and enables the use of identical pulleys for both the differential and spool, streamlining maintenance and performance.
Previously available only as optional upgrades, the SPR23-R shock pointers, AM180EVO2 steering bell crank, and AM23-1 rear steering arms now come standard in the kit further enhancing quality of life, durability and overall performance.
The recently released C01B-RAF Flex Alloy chassis plate is now included as standard in the aluminum version of the kit (A800RRA), increasing its versatility and making it suitable for carpet and high grip asphalt tracks alike.
Introduced with the SCC Steel Chassis Conversion Set, the newly designed AM278-EVO bulkheads come standard in the kit making the A800RR “steel-conversion-ready” for racers willing to upgrade in the future.
The new suspension geometry introduced with the A800R platform remains unchanged; however, when combined with the newly designed D4 dampers offers unmatched adjustability with minimal wrenching.
The SCC Steel Chassis is NOT INCLUDED in this kit. This kit comes with the RAF Flex Alloy (Aluminum) Chassis.
